"Come & Get It" is the official debut single from American recording artist and actress Selena Gomez. The song serves as Gomez's first single following her departure from Selena Gomez & the Scene, and was released as the lead single to her debut studio album Stars Dance. "Come & Get It" was written by Ester Dean, M.S. Eriksen, and T.E. Hermansen and was produced by Stargate. "Come & Get It" was released as an official single on April 8, 2013 after previously being premiered on Ryan Seacrest's morning radio show. "Come & Get It" features a change in style from Gomez's previous releases, and features elements of electropop and Indian music. The song's lyrics speak of a female lover's attempts to rekindle a previously ended romance. Following the song's release, there was much media speculation as to whom the song was written about.
